Hours & Admissions for Synagogue Tours
The Museum at Eldridge Street is based in the 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue, a National Historic Landmark. Immerse yourself in 123 years of history and one of New York’s most breathtaking interiors.

The Museum can only be seen by guided tour. Tours are offered every half hour, with the last tour beginning at 4 pm.

Sunday – 10 am to 5 pm
Monday – 10 am to 5 pm
Tuesday – 10 am to 5 pm
Wednesday – 10 am to 5 pm
Thursday – 10 am to 5 pm
Friday & Saturday – Closed

Enjoy FREE Monday mornings from 10 am to noon. For individuals or groups of less than 6.

We are closed on the following national and Jewish holidays:

March 29 (close at 3 pm) – Passover eve
March 30 & 31, April 4, 5 & 6 – Passover
May 18 (close at 3 pm) – Shavuot eve

Our newest offering “Illuminating Glass” is inspired by the museum’s recent commission of a new stained-glass window by artist Kiki Smith and architect Deborah Gans. Exhibits
Make sure to explore our award-winning interactive displays on the synagogue and the historical context of our surrounding neighborhood. Produced by Potion Design, their production quality was described as “off the charts” by the American Association of Museums. Our “Glorious Again” exhibit focuses on the synagogue restoration and includes video interviews with the stained-glass, paint and lighting artisans.
