Eat your way through history on this delicious neighborhood walking tour. Once home to the largest Jewish population in the world, the Lower East Side still bears traces of Jewish life from the turn of the last century. Visit synagogues, Yiddish newspaper buildings, socialists hot spots and more while sampling treats from local vendors, including the best pickle shop in New York City.

Binoculars? Check. Notepads? Check. Magnifying glasses? Check. Preservation Detectives, grab your tools and prepare for adventure! Step into a world filled with color and stories and secrets. Climb stairs, count stars, open doors, even peek inside these 125 year old walls. (You won't believe what you'll see!) Each month our Preservation Detectives family program features a different theme, a special art project, and a new discovery.

Eldridge Street After Hours: Get Crafty

Eldridge Street After Hours in August is an evening of crafty goodness featuring craft beer and crafting projects; including window rubbings, sketching & collage materials, and DogFish Head, Magic Hat & Brooklyn Brewery. Stop by after work for drinks, snacks and crayons.
Eldridge Street After Hours (ESAH) is a monthly Happy Hour for people in their 20s and 30s on the third Thursday of each month. The Museum at Eldridge Street, located in the historic 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue, provides a magnificent venue to share with your friends, family and significant others.
Cost including two drinks: $10 per person, $5 for Facebook fans
