walking east past the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge.

M15 (Second Avenue)
to corner of Canal and Allen Streets. Walk one block
west on Canal Street and take a left on
Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your left. (2
minute walk from bus stop).
M9 (between Union Square & Battery Park City)
to East Broadway and Market Street.treet. Walk north on
Eldridge (just east of Market). The Synagogue will be on your right.

If You Are Downtown
From Houston, Delancey or Grand Streets turn south (a right if you're coming from the west, a left if you're coming from the east) onto Allen Street (continuation of First Avenue below Houston Street). Take a right onto Division (3 blocks south of Grand) and make another immediate right onto Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right. Alternatively, on Sundays only: Take South Street north from Lower Manhattan; take a left on Pike Street, a left on Division Street (approximately 4 blocks north) and the next right onto Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right.
From Long Island and Queens
Take the Queens-Midtown Tunnel and proceed south on the FDR Drive. Take the Grand Street Exit. Drive west to Allen Street. Make a left onto Allen Street, a right onto Division Street, and the next right onto Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right.
From the Upper East Side
Take the FDR Drive South to the Grand Street exit. Drive west on Grand to Allen Street. Make a left onto Allen, take a right onto Division Street, and the next right onto Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right.
From N. New Jersey or W. Side of Manhattan
Take the West Side Highway or Seventh Avenue/Varick Street down to Houston Street. Drive east on Houston Street to Allen Street. Turn south (right turn) onto Allen Street. Take a right onto Division Street, and another right onto Eldridge Street. The synagogue will be on your right.
From S. New Jersey
Take the Holland Tunnel, proceed east on Canal Street. Turn left on Centre Street; then right onto Grand Street. Proceed east and make a right onto Allen Street, a right on Division Street, and the next right onto Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right.
From Brooklyn
Take the Brooklyn Bridge or the Brooklyn Bridge exit off the FDR Drive, or proceed north on Water Street from Lower Manhattan. Make a right onto Pearl Street, a right on East Broadway, and a left on Forsyth Sreet (immediately after you go under the Manhattan Bridge overpass). Forsyth forks and becomes Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right. Alternatively, take the Williamsburg Bridge to Delancey Street, take a left on Allen Street, a right on Division, and a right on Eldridge Street. The Synagogue will be on your right.
CARS:
Open-Air Garage
The Open air garage ("Bridgeview Auto Center") is located on Forsyth Street between Canal and Division Streets. Turn left on Canal Street, then left onto Forsyth Street. Forsyth Street also has metered parking.
Quick-Park Garage
The "Quick Park" garage is on Division Street just west of Eldridge and Forsyth. Turn right on Canal Street, left on Forsyth, and right on Division. The driveway into the garage will be on your right almost immediately, as soon as you drive under the Manhattan Bridge overpass.
Garage at Grand & Allen
Driving north on Eldridge Street, turn right on Grand Street. The garage will be on your right as you head south.
Free Lower East Side BID Lot
The Lower East Side Business Improvement District offers free parking for up to 3 hours a day at a lot on Broome Street between Norfolk and Suffolk Streets.
This lot is a 15 minute walk from the Museum at Eldridge Street.
From the synagogue, head north on Eldridge Street for 4 blocks to Broome Street, turn right and go 5 blocks until you see the lot on your left side between Norfolk and Suffolk Streets. All vehicles must check in with the parking attendant. If you park in this lot, please make sure to let us know at the Museum’s gift shop so that we may give you a validation sticker. Advance reservations are required for busses, but not for individual cars and vans.
SCHOOL & TOUR BUSSES:
We recommend that busses drop off their visitors in front of the synagogue and park afterwards. There are two options provided below for parking busses in the neighborhood:
Street Parking
Bus parking is sometimes available one block away from the Museum alongside the Manhattan Bridge on Forsyth Street between Canal and Division.
Free Lower East Side BID Lot
You may reserve a complimentary parking space for your bus at the lot on Broome Street between Norfolk and Suffolk Streets, a 15 minute walk from the Museum at Eldridge Street.
To make reservations for a free parking space at the Broome Street Lot, send an
email to the Lower East Side Business Improvement District (LES BID) with the following information: Group leader’s name, Group name, Date and Time of Expected Arrival and Departure, Phone Number, and Size of Bus (motor coach, school bus, etc).
Reservations for parking spaces
must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit. If space is available, you will receive a confirmation from the LES BID for the bus driver to show the parking attendant upon arrival to the lot.
